Non-degree and guest applications

Graduate non-degree

Applicants who wish to take graduate courses without formally applying for a specific certificate or degree program may request admission on a non-degree basis. Applicants will be admitted to a particular school/college and not a specific program. Graduate non-degree status is valid for one term and a maximum of nine (9) semester credits. An applicant may apply for a subsequent term by submitting a new non-degree application.

Apply online. When selecting your program option, since you will be admitted to a school or college, search for the non-degree school/college program option that best fits your interest (e.g., Non-Degree Business Administration, Non-Degree Education, Non-Degree Engineering, Non-Degree Medicine, etc.).  An unofficial bachelor's degree-posted transcript, resume, and proof of English proficiency (if applicable) are the only requirements. (Note: The School of Information Sciences' non-degree application is No Major Information Sciences.)

Graduate guest admission

If you are a graduate student enrolled at an institution other than Wayne State University, you can apply as a guest (visiting) student.  Graduate Guest status is valid for one term and a maximum of 12 semester credits. An applicant may apply for a subsequent term by submitting a new guest application.

You may apply by guest type:
