Graduate Student Appreciation Week

April 4-8 is National Graduate Student Appreciation Week! In 1993, the National Association of Graduate-Professional Students established an appreciation week to recognize the contributions, impact, and value of graduate students across the nation's campuses.

The Wayne State University Graduate School will be hosting a number of events for students throughout the week to celebrate the impact graduate Warriors make on campus, in the Detroit community and beyond. Celebrate with us on social using #WSUGradWeek where we'll be sharing our graditude for our students and you can enter in cash and t-shirt giveaways.

#WSUGradWeek "A Day in the Life" Awards

Graduate students handle a variety of responsibilities in addition to their studies. From community involvement to raising a family, graduate students wear many hats. What is a day in the life like for you? During #WSUGradWeek, share a photo or short video from a day in your life as a grad student and describe your typical day on Instagram or Twitter. Be sure to tag/follow the Graduate School (@waynegradschool) to enter! Winners will be chosen based on how they balance life as a student while contributing to their community, family, other organizations. 1st place will be awarded $1,500, 2nd $750, 3rd place $250.

Details: One submission per student per day. Entries must be submitted by 11:59 a.m. Thursday, April 7. Winners will be announced at 3 p.m. Friday, April 8 on the Graduate School's social media channels and website. Winners must have a public profile so the Graduate School can see their entries and direct message them.

Congratulations to the winners
