Sarah Whitney (Social Work)

Alondra Cruz Almestica is a sophomore in secondary education. Her interest in graduate school stems from her desire to better her community and aspiration to broaden the representation of Afro Caribbean and Afro Latinx women in academia. Since joining SURGE, she and her mentor have not only discussed graduate school preparedness, but how to practice self-care and balance studies with personal life. During her spare time, you can find her visiting different museums and walking around Midtown.
