Isabella Warmbrunn entered the basic medical sciences program at the School of Medicine to further her scientific knowledge and dedicate time to research prior to entering medical school. As someone who struggled early on in her graduate program with imposter syndrome, she chose to become a SURGE mentor to bolster the confidence of undergrads with an interest in continuing their academic career and introduce them to resources to make the transition as smooth as possible. A medical degree will aid in her goal of working as a primary care physician for marginalized communities. You can find her going for runs along the Riverwalk and checking out new shops around Detroit.
