The cabin fever has set in. It's getting warmer and even harder to stay inside. The good news is you can explore Detroit right from your couch. Below are a number of experiences brought to you by Detroiters that you can access with an internet connection.

Arab American National Museum
The Arab American National Museum has free screenings of films followed by chatbacks every Thursday night at 7 p.m., weekly storytimes, at-home crafting how-tos, open mic nights on Facebook Live and a weekly Tuesday takeover for their chef series on Instagram where you can learn how to make tasty meals and sweet treats.

Cook with Detroit Chef Jonathan Kung
Now that we're all cooking a lot more from home, our go-to recipe list could use a boost. Chef Jonathan Kung of Kung Foods in Eastern Market regularly posts cooking demonstrations with recipies designed for quarantine via Instagram @kung_food.

Dance with ArtLab J
Daily dance classes geared toward kids, teens, adults and seniors are all free and virtual. From morning stretches and yoga to hip-hop, ballet and kids' dance parties, there's something for everyone.

Detroit Historical Society
You can explore Detroit from home with the Detroit Historical Society's Encyclopedia of Detroit, get lost in 45,000+ records of their digital collection, watch their Detroit History Video Archive on YouTube, and they have educational resources for kids to keep even the youngest historians engaged.

Detroit Institute of Arts
The DIA provides online access and tours of many of their exhibits, school field trips for kids, weekly film screenings, links to curator talks and art projects for seniors, and all-around advice on how to stay creative at home.

Detroit Symphony Orchestra
DSO streams weekly watch parties on Facebook Live. #playonyourporch is at 6 p.m. daily and invites musicians to perform from their front porches (or anywhere at home) and tag @detroitsymphony on Instagram. DSO Replay, the on-demand video archive of past performances from Orchestra Hall, is now free.

Generation Startup
Watch Generation Startup in between all the other shows and movies you're catching up on in quarantine. The 2016 documentary follows six recent college graduates working to build startups in Detroit. Available on Netflix, Amazon and YouTube.
