NEWS BRIEF: neuroscience-related postdocs can serve as guest editors for the Journal of Neuroscience Research

Senior Wayne State University postdocs who work in neuroscience-related research have the opportunity to serve as guest editors for the Journal of Neuroscience Research.

As scholars who have prepared and submitted their own scientific articles, you can participate in and witness the process from submission to publication: learn about the responsibilities of being a fair judge of someone else's work; seek unbiased and fair reviewers; monitor the review process; adjudicate the reviews; reach a preliminary conclusion on publication worthiness; and be a key component of the final decision whether a submitted article is appropriate for publication in the journal. As guest editors, you will work very closely with Editor-in-Chief Dr. Eric Prager toward the preparation of a special issue or collection of manuscripts. This latter component of the experience is especially important for those trainees considering the possibility of professional editorial positions later on in their careers.

Interested postdocs should email Dr. Sokol Todi.
