Accelerated Master's Programs

Accelerated GRADuate Enrollment (AGRADE)

The AGRADE program allows highly qualified students enroll simultaneously in some undergraduate and graduate programs. This can reduce the time spent in a master's program and lower the total cost. Participants are eligible for additional funding from the Graduate School through the AGRADE Scholarship.

To be eligible for AGRADE, students must:

  • Achieve an undergraduate GPA of at least 3.3
  • Complete at least 90 credits of your undergraduate degree requirements (up to 16 credits can count for both undergraduate and graduate degrees)

For graduate faculty:

  • Ask your administrator if you have questions about AGRADE participation for your program or department
  • Encourage and support qualified students to participate in AGRADE and the related AGRADE Scholarship from the Graduate School
  • Consider proposing a new AGRADE program if you see an opportunity

Senior Rule

Through the Senior Rule program, you can earn graduate credits for courses taken in excvess of your undergraduate degree requirements. 

To be eligible for Senior Rule, you must: 

  • Be entering your final undergraduate semester. 
  • Have a minimum upper-division GPA of 3.0. 
  • Register for at least one credit that is part of your undergraduate degree requirements. THe combination o fGradutae and undergraduate courses cannot exceed 16 credits.
