Graduation

Although students may finish the requirements for the Ph.D. degree at any time during the academic year, commencement ceremonies are held in May and December each year. Detailed information about applying for the degree and commencement procedures is available from the Commencement Office web site.

Degree application

Degree applications are  available via Pipeline on the Student tab, Student Self Service menu.

Application fee

$40.00 and payable on-line.

Application Deadline

Deadline for applying is the Friday of the fourth week of class in the semester in which graduation is anticipated.

Caps, gowns, and tickets

Information concerning Commencement announcements, caps and gowns, tickets, and other relevant information will be mailed to the degree candidate by the Commencement Office prior to the event.

Attendance at the ceremony

Candidates for advanced degrees are requested and expected to attend Commencement, where they will receive their diplomas; however, diplomas will be mailed to those candidates unable to attend the ceremonies.
