Post-Bachelor Admission
Post-bachelor is an undergraduate status. Graduate students may wish to enroll in this status to complete undergraduate level prerequisite coursework for a graduate program.
- If you are required to complete undergraduate prerequisites (1000 - 6000 level) prior to beginning a graduate program, these courses may be taken as a post-bachelor student.
- Post-bachelor admission applications can be found by using the Office of Undergraduate Admissions website.
- If you earned an undergraduate degree from WayneStateUniversity or were previously admitted and registered in a WayneState graduate program, please contact the Records Office to be re-admitted to the university as a post-bachelor student.
- Post-bachelor applicants in the Colleges of Education and Nursing must obtain authorization directly from the college.
The following special rules apply to post-bachelor admission:
- Under no circumstances will credit earned in this status apply toward a graduate degree program.
- The applicant must present evidence of a degree earned from an accredited institution through an official transcript or diploma.
-
Post-bachelor status students are not eligible for financial aid from WayneStateUniversity, unless a student is taking prerequisite coursework for a graduate program. Then the student is eligible for a Stafford Loan for one 12 month period for a maximum amount not to exceed the equivalent tuition for a first-year undergraduate student.
