Graduate Student Awards

The Graduate School offers graduate student awards for outstanding teaching and for presentation of research, scholarship, and visual arts.

Heberlein Award for Excellence in Teaching
This award emphasizes the importance of teaching as part of the preparation of graduate students for careers as faculty. An annual competition is held. The nomination deadline is in the beginning of February.

Graduate Exhibition
An annual celebration of graduate student achievement, the Exhibition features poster exhibits of students’ research and scholarship and visual arts displays. Prizes are awarded for the best presentations.
